I was ready to complain about the slate, until I looked at Week 10. Appreciate the ranked matchups and inter-conference games now while they're here! Not as many Pac 12 After Dark games as I would personally prefer, but overall we have good matchups at each time slot. Not a Dog Week like week 8, however there are still some intriguing underdog picks this week as well.

Balls In Your Court Week 9 CFB Game of the Week: Baylor @ Texas Tech -2.5

This is a matchup of two 3 loss teams, but it shows how important those inter conference games really are. Texas Tech has underrated home field advantage and although they aren't historically known for defense it has created chaos this year in times of need. The rushing attack led by Tahj Brooks and Sarodorick Thompson is one of the best in the conference and it appears the Red Raiders have found their QB for 2022 in Behren Morton. In back to back games, Morton has thrown 45+ passes, had over 62% completion in each matchup, and threw for 325+ in each game. Couple this with a 5:1 TD:INT ratio and Morton has a bright future in Lubbock. Baylor's defense has taken a step back, rightfully so, however it is still a solid group especially when it comes to stopping the run. I am not sold on Blake Shapen at this time, but there are plenty of playmakers to spread the ball to. Richard Reese is as dependable as they come and Monaray Baldwin can break 70+ yards at any time. The key matchup for me in this is the Baylor pass defense vs Behren Morton. I am confident the Red Raiders will be able to run the ball in some capacity but they will truly need to be dual threat to have a chance against this Baylor defense.
Jon's Game of the Week Pick: Texas Tech 28-20
Zach's Game of the Week Pick: Baylor 35-26
Jon's GOW Record: 3-5
Zach's GOW Record: 5-3
